Weekly Wednesday Post from Stacie

Gosh, this thing is hard.

This weight loss and lifestyle change. All day I rush, rush, rush around to do all of the things that I need to do. Well I do most of the things that I need to do. There simply isn’t enough time to do all of the things that I need to do. Inevitably a few things get pushed to the next day. It happens. These are the same things that then get pushed to the day after that.

Before Mamavation, most of the time it was exercise. Time for myself. The time to make food which allows me to make healthier choices. A little reflection each day on how the day was.

Nowadays, I am actually trying much harder to fit these things into each day rather than pushing them off another day. So far so good although there are days when I slip up. When it is so easy to revert back to old habits. Creating new habits is hard work. Exercise is hard work. Weight loss is hard work.

Every day it seems to get a little easier. All of these changes become…well a habits. My life is changing everyday. For the better.

There are still struggles. Very often it is the end of the day and all I want to do is veg out in front of the tv. Or play on the Internet. Tweet people. Be witty. But instead, I exercise. I plan my food for the next day. I sit back and think, “I am freakin’ doing it! YEAH!”

I was one of those people for a long time who just waited for tomorrow. Put off so many things because I thought that it was not worth the effort. Or I didn’t have the energy. I am here to tell you that it is. It is worth the effort. If I can do this, anyone can.

Until next week…

A special thanks to:

@EarthFootwear, the people who are toning my legs with their fabulous shoes,
EA Sports Active, the program that is causing me to “feel the burn on pretty much a daily basis,”
and the Smooth Fitness people who will soon be invading my living room!

Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.

If I might –perhaps you should consider adding a few images. I dont mean to disrespect what youve said; its very enlightening, indeed. However, I think would respond to it more positively if they could be something tangible to your ideas. Keep it up, but put a little more into it next time.

  29. 79

One of the greatest websites I’ve come across for info throughout this specific market. I’m going to often be coming back often for brand-new content.

  30. 80

Intersting… I was planning on writing a similar post on my site, but still enjoyed your post.

  31. 81

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  32. 82

You completed a few good points there. I did a search on the subject and found mainly folks will go along with with your blog.

  33. 83

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  34. 84

Good article! This is a extremely entertaining blog in which you have.

  35. 85
    Elmer Eapen says:

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
