We have a fantastic group of ladies. Each one of them would make amazing Mamavation Moms. They have motivation, drive, heart…you name it. I’ve got a real good feeling for this campaign.
What happens now? Voting from NOW till Monday, April 30th and it closes at 9pm EST just before the end of the Mamavation Twitter Launch Party. So RSVP for the party and support your favorite Mamavation Finalist during that time. They will be nervous and will need some virtual hand holding.
Here is my advice to the Mamavation Finalists: Now you need to get votes. There is only room for two of you. Each one of you would make splendid Mamavation Moms, but 3 of you may need to reapply next campaign. Feel free to ask any of the graduates their advice in this area. They are all open books.
Rule #1 I don’t care how you get votes, but it’s more effective if you ask your friends by DM to vote for you then to tweet at everyone every 2 seconds. Kwim?
Rule #2 Don’t whine about how the other ones are getting votes. Everyone is their own special snowflake and will do it their own way. I don’t like whiners. If you whine, this may show me that you are going to be a whiner during the campaign. That isn’t a good way to start this out.
Rule #3 Don’t assume the one with the most twitter followers if going to get the most votes. This isn’t true anymore. I’ve leveled the playing field by allowing you to do it basically anyway you want. Prior winners have gotten press, had friends host giveaways, gotten their churches involved, etc. All is fine with me. I’m so easy going it’s not even funny. Just don’t whine. Did I say not to whine yet?
Rule #4 I’m the only one who sees what is happening in the background and you are going to just have to trust me just like you do with your life for 7 weeks.
Rule #5 Don’t leave the community if you don’t win. Several Mamavation Graduates went through this again and again and the ones with a humble heart were the ones that eventually got in. And if you were not chosen, it basically means I want you in the community longer learning about the campaign before you apply again.
Rule #6 Remember at the end of the day this is about your family and being a good role model for them. This will be 7 weeks of hell, but it will teach you a great deal. You will then need to stick with us for AT LEAST 6 months afterward so we can keep tabs on you in the community. If you use the “mother lion” inside of you, you will be fine. Yes, it WILL be hard, but you will make it.
