Can’t believe I am already writing my week 3 post. We are about half way thru this campaign already! I feel like I am just getting used to everything! I am still trying to remember to put my pedometer on as soon as I get out of bed and to get my food journal post done before I go to bed, but other then that I have gotten the hang of pretty much everything!
As most of you know from last monday night at Mamavation TV or from my vlog it was a rough week. I had reached a breaking point, and was not feeling great physically or emotionally and it was getting to me. One big problem last week was that I was letting negativity things people were saying or doing effect me way more then it should. On top of all of that I had an upcoming doctors appointment that created a lot of anxiety. I was going in to get the results of my spinal tap that I had done just as this campaign started. By the end of the appointment we had lots of answers and a plan of attack. I have what is called pseudo tumor cerebri. My body acts/thinks I have a tumor in my brain but I do not thankfully. It has been a long few months with all of this, but thru it all I have managed to stay on track this campaign and loose some serious pounds!
I bet you are wondering what my weight loss for this week is … I was too until this morning! I was thinking that soon I would be hitting a plateau because that would be normal but much to my surprise I had a loss this week .. A BIG one.

As promised, I posted a picture of me in my goal jeans! Jeans that have been sitting in my closet for a long time because they haven't fit since before I was pregnant with my youngest!
A loss of 8.6 pounds was very unexpected! I had really pushed myself this week and had hoped that I have I would have lost something with all of this work but never did I expect this number! My goal for this campaign was to be under 200 pounds, not have to rely on my inhaler to workout and to be able to do all of the workouts. So far to date, I have met all of my goals for this campaign.
Measurements & Weight Loss
Total Weight Loss This Week: 8.6 pounds. Total Weight Loss So Far During This Campaign: 27.6
Total Inches Lost So Far: 20″ ~ down 3″ in my bust, down 7″ in my waist, down 5″ in my hips, down .5″ in each thigh, down .5″ in each calf, down 1.5″ in each arm!
As I am writing this post I just got the new workout routines from Mark (@MrBookieboo) and I might not be able to walk or use my arms to type next week, but he was kidding my body is going to be in shock! Hopefully this time next week I have some awesome results to tell you about!
You may be wondering how in the world I have been able to loose weight consistently each week and honestly there are two big reasons … 1. Diet 2. Exercise. Of course you could loose weight eating what you wanted and working out hard core, but it wouldn’t be the brightest idea. Skinny doesn’t mean healthy! Thanks to Alyssa (@InspiredRD) I have learned so much about nutrition, portion sizes & how much to eat of what at each meal and snack. One important thing I have learned from Alyssa is that snacks are super important, almost as important as breakfast! I am not a breakfast person and it’s hard for me to eat when I wake up but she is so right that it really helps. I have energy to work out, and end up getting my steps in much easier when I eat breakfast! She has really helped me with coming up with great (and kid friendly) ideas for meals and snacks! Our youngest has severe food allergies and thanks to Alyssa I have been able to make meals that are healthy, but also that Aiden can eat. This campaign and Alyssa has really not only helped me but also my family.
Today in fact, we were baking cookies & normally before they were out of the oven my kids would have asked for one. They didn’t and I thought that was odd, but ok … So I offered them one. Aiden’s response was “no thanks momma, can I have a plum”. Not what I was expecting, but I will take it! They now know that when we have grapes it is 17 grapes each and they count them out for everybody. Deciding to get healthy and changing your lifestyle is not easy, but it is also much easier when you have the support of your family. I thought it was going to be a challenge getting my kids to try new things, choosing veggies over “fun” food but it wasn’t as bad I thought it was going to be.
How have you helped change or re-direct your families food choices to healthier ones?

You are doing such a GREAT job! I think it’s super that your children are making wise choices. I am so proud when my daughter requests a banana and peanut butter instead of something junky/sweet.
