Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.
In case you couldn’t tell, my kids have been watching Nemo today! As silly as it sounds I have found myself telling myself this over and over this week. When I was in the pool this morning, I was sore, tired and honestly didn’t want to do more then a couple of laps and then call it good. This week was a rough and long one for me. The kids going back to school, trying to get into a new routine & everything else left me feeling very overwhelmed and at times very emotional. I could have easily given up this week. Reason why I didn’t quit is because I have people depending on me, watching me & most of all supporting me!
One of my biggest reasons for applying for a third time to be a Mamavation mom and not giving up was my family history & I wanted to be around for my family. In July, my mom called us late one night and told us she has in the hospital and was being admitted because she was having extreme chest pains, had deadly high blood pressure and they thought she was having a heart attack. I may be 27 and a momma myself, but it’s scary to think that you won’t have your mom around. Being totally honest, once I knew she was going to be ok, I was angry. Angry that things had gotten to this point. I am a firm believer though that things happen for a reason, and since those couple of days in the hospital my mom has made a conscious effort to make a lifestyle change and to get healthy.
Part of my role as a Mamavation mom is to inspire others to start their own journey to being healthy. If I help even one person, then I will make this entire experience that much better. I hope you all know that you can do what I am doing. I promise, I am nothing special. I am a normal girl, who slowly over time got heavier, made poor food choices, stopped working out & that’s how I got to where I was. It was a long time putting this weight on, and I forget about that when I get frustrated when it’s not coming off fast. If I can do it, then so can you! I hope that no matter where you are in your journey, don’t give up!
This week I lost 2.4 pounds making a total loss for this campaign … 23.4 pounds!
Enough about my week! Let’s talk about something all women love … Shoes!
What woman doesn’t love shoes?! I know I do! Thanks to Leah (@bookieboo) & Earth Footwear (@EarthFootwear) I have some new pretties in my closest! They are not only fabulous, beautiful but they are amazingly comfortable!! I wore the black heels on sunday with a black pencil skirt and got so many compliments! Not to mention that I love that I am almost as tall as Adam with my heels on! Being 5′ tall I love a pair of heels that give me some height! Don’t you love the red boots! I am n love with them & waiting for the perfect fall night to rock them! I have a jacket that matches them perfectly, so one date night soon I will snap a picture of me in the beauties!

Getting out of routine is one of the hardest things, I totally understand it too. Hang in there, you have done amazing and are doing amazing each day!! I am so proud of what you have accomplished thus far, and also, I totally love those boots!! =P
“As you can see behind me, AHEM!” LOL..
That cracked me up.. I haven’t broken out my scale yet, I’m kind of scared that it is going to tell me I don’t weigh what my scale says I weigh.. I’m such a wuss!
Keep it up!
Yes… just keep swimming.
Applying each time showed how very committed you are to this and your loss so far has proven it as well. It is always work, but change the habits and patterns and “work” becomes routine. Hope you have another smashing week! Keep it up.
Tina … That was the SECOND time he walked in my video lol. I can’t tell you how many times before I did it I said to him and the kids … “I have to record my video now … so shhhh and don’t walk behind me”. Good to know they can follow directions lol!
Thank you girls!!
