Family farmers are modern day heroes. And Monsanto is a company that threatens their very existence.
On January 10th, family farmers will travel to Washington DC to participate in the appeal of Organic Seed Growers and Trade Asscociation (OSGATA) vs Monsanto et al, a court case filed to protect farmers from genetic trespass by Monsanto’s GMO seed, which can contaminate organic and non-GMO farmers’ crops and opens them up to abusive lawsuits.
In the past two decades, Monsanto’s seed monopoly has grown so powerful that they control the genetics of nearly 90% of five major commodity crops including corn, soybeans, cotton, canola and sugar beets.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has agreed to hear oral arguments in the appeal of this landmark case to decide whether or not this case will move forward.
This case represents their survival. Let’s support them as they travel to Washington, D.C. and represent the rights of family farmers.

YES! I definitely stand with the farmers!!
100% behind the Farmers
I am so excited to show my support for these farmers! I see Monsanto ruin local farmer’s lives everyday. I feel privileged to live in Iowa where I still have a house of small local farms, albeit not very many. Thank you for bringing light to this issue!
I’ll be there!
I added this to the twitter party calendar. I believe we need to show our support for all those local farmers out there! I’ve also tagged it on my fan Facebook page.. let’s get those tweets flying and show our support!
Thank you Kathy! This is SUCH an important topic!
I am becoming more passionate about this daily. More and more I learn about Monsanto’s evil doing across the world.
I support the farmers!
I’ll be there for sure!
I’m definitely Standing with the Farmers…. @swtthing3
I’m with the farmers – because I’m sick of what Monsanto is doing to our food, our health, and out future.
I support the family farms! If I can remember, I’ll be at the party!
100% for the farmers!
I’m standing with the farmers. I want to know what’s in my food, and I want to know there are NO GMO’s. That’s one reason we use heirloom seeds to plant our garden here on our little ‘hobby farm’. I’d hate to think the veggies from my garden could get cross pollinated from Monsanto’s GMO infested farms.
100% Farmers!
100% plus more with the farmers
I definitely look forward to joining this and showing my support to farmers!
I’ve seen the movie Food, Inc. and I definitely will be there to show my support for the farmers!
Having grown up on a family farm…and realizing now the dramatic changes in farming in the past few decades….I am gravely concerned for my family and the future of America’s family farms.
Count me in!
I support the farmers!
YES, support farmers EVERY DAY. I don’t like what I”m seeing and as a whole we need to take a stand! We want clean food!
It’s an outrage that they can sue farmers for infringement. What farmer in his right mind would feel good about using MORE pesticides on or in the food he is producing?
I stand with them!
Very important. I am looking forward to the discussion tonight!
I stand strong with the farmers, Monsanto is just plain frightening.
I’ll be there! @abbebrown or @abbebrown_jail
I stand with family Farmers!
Wish I would have caught this sooner, but I am here to vote for the Farmer and good clean natural food just like my great-granny ate.
