HOLLA !!! I am Rebecca ( @RUtheMOMof ) and so excited to have been chosen with 2 other great ladies to be Mamavation Moms. I am so up for this I love a good competition and challenge. The challenge is with myself to see if I can be the person that I was and that I can be again. I never worried about my weight growing up or in my 20′s. I am now 38 and will be 29 in February again. When I had my 1st 3 kids I gained 50 lbs and it left without me ever working out. When I had my 4th daughter I did not lose 10 of the 50 lbs I gained then when I had my 5th I gained 50 lbs and did not lose any at all .I have actually gained so for the last 9 years I have carrying around 60 extra pounds. I started noticing that in all our family pictures I am either not in them or have one of my kids in front of me. We live a few blocks from the beach and live in a part of Miami that all the women are a size 2 and always on a diet. Before I do something drastic like strangle one of them I decided it is time for me do something about myself. My family and I love being outdoors and there is always some type of competition going on. I always am running around and playing but now I am flushed and out of breathe . I have made so many excuses about why I do not exercise or eat healthier. I am ready to stop using my kids or time as an excuse. I love how Mamavation is all about healthy eating and getting fit so I can be healthy and have a healthy family. One of the steps in getting healthier is admitting to yourself you need to. I have never told anyone how much I weigh so posting it is my wake up call and now I must do something about it.

Yes that is my ass and no I am not smuggling anything in my pants. The sisterhood in the Mamavation community is so REAL and motivating. This is so much bigger than just me losing weight and looking good. I want to feel good and know that I am doing it the right way. So as I start my journey I look forward to all of you coming along with me.
