Seven weeks have flown by, and the end of Mamavation Bootcamp 17 has arrived. To be perfectly cliche, I can’t believe how quickly the time has passed. Seems like just yesterday I was hitting “send” on my application and then mentally sobbing through the relentless hazing.
These past few weeks have made me a better person in so many ways. First, I’m more aware of what’s around me. The experts we had who chatted with us about how to protect our families have provided me with so much insight about the products I was buying or feeding my family.
Secondly, I’m healthier. Before the campaign, I ate a huge bowl of ice cream every night before bed. EVERY. NIGHT. My husband even joked about how much ice cream we had to buy to make it through a week. I haven’t had ice cream in any form in two months. That’s amazing.
I’m also in much better shape. I have run without stopping. I have run while chatting. I have done arm workouts that are making muscles appear on my arm where I haven’t seen muscles in almost 10 years.
In general, I’m just feeling and looking much better.
Let me show you some evidence. Here are the measurements I’ve been keeping up with over the past 7 weeks. I still have one more set to get before calling it done:
And here are my before and after shots:
Thank you to everyone who has been supportive of me this entire trip. And thank you to Jessie and Lori for being right there with me all the way. Major shout outs to Leah, Mark, Alysa, Joanna, Rebecca, Jeanae, and Dee. Not sure I could have done this without you.
And now, my final vlog. Come see the 10 things I learned from this campaign. A few may surprise you!
Hang out with us on Monday when we celebrate the end of the Mamavation Bootcamp 17 with a slumber party!
And be sure to participate in this weekend’s Virtual 5k. I’m doing it — won’t you?
If you’re feeling at all weepy as you read my last post, don’t worry. I’m going to stick around for a while. You certainly haven’t seen the last of me!
