Moms matter – that’s why we are changing lives one MOM at a time. And we’re not the only ones who think so! The #SolarChat community, The Blogger Connection, and solar marketing professional Glenna Wiseman completely agree. We are pleased to announce that we have joined forces with this elite group to ask American women homeowners and mothers about how they prefer communication related to solar energy marketing. We are very excited to be involved in this project offering women the opportunity to let the solar industry know how we want marketers to communicate with us – it will help to spread the solar message and hopefully result in an increase in the number of people who use solar power nationwide. You are invited to take the survey to share what you want from solar marketing, so that it can be shared at Solar Power International and in an upcoming online event – help us help the voices of American women be heard!
The Story of the Survey
Raina Russo is the founder of the #SolarChat community as well as a solar homeowner and mother. Her community is dedicated to sharing the message of solar, connecting solar professionals, and discussing issues related to solar and renewable energy using the power of social media. She believes that the influence of women over the purchases in our homes combined with our desire for a better future for our children is a powerful force and that when the solar industry understands how to communicate and connect with us, that the potential for more people nationwide to adopt solar will increase. She is joining forces with us and Rachel Ferrucci of The Blogger Connection network to spread the word about the survey so that as many American women homeowners and mothers who want to voice their opinions have the chance to be heard. Rachel also believes that having more people using solar energy will help improve the future for our children, and so do we. Not only is Raina collecting our opinions, but she will also be sharing them with the solar industry.
On October 22, Raina will be presenting the findings of our survey with Glenna Wiseman at Solar Power International. This is an important event, which means that our voices will be heard by very prominent players in the solar industry. In addition, the results of the survey will be discussed in an online event on November 13 during a #SolarChat on Twitter during which Leah (Mamavation’s Founder and Principal), Rachel, Glenna, and Raina will all serve as panelists. Not only will our voices be shared with industry professionals, but we will also be able to use the power of social media to spread the message about solar ourselves and chat with these amazing women.
How You Can Be Heard
We want YOU to have a chance to be heard! Voice your opinion by completing the Shining a Solar Marketing Light on Women survey. The survey will be available from now until Wednesday, October 16th.
We would also love to have you join us for the Twitter chat in November to talk about the results of the survey!
