There has been a lot of talk about grassfed cows lately and we, along with Stonyfield, think there should be more talk about it. That’s why we’re hosting the #StonyfieldGrassfed Twitter Party. There’s more to grassfed than you may know. Demand for 100% Grassfed Dairy Products is growing six times faster than the rest of the category.† When cows are PCO certified 100% Grassfed, that means they eat all grass, all the time (no grain, no corn), throughout the year, even in winter. Because of this, the milk has a rich, unique taste. Stonyfield’s new Organic 100% Grassfed yogurt is made with organic 100% Grassfed whole milk with the delicious taste and texture you already love.
It can be tough to know if the grassfed product you’re buying is from a cow fed exclusively grass. That’s why Stonyfield has taken the extra step to get independent certification on their yogurt by the PCO. As the only third party organization offering 100% Grassfed Certification, this USDA-accredited agency helps to protect the integrity of 100% Grassfed dairy farming, educate consumers, and to keep “grassfed” from becoming an unfounded marketing claim.
Stonyfield 100% Grassfed is also USDA certified organic. I had the pleasure of trying some just this past weekend and found the yogurt to have a mild flavor and a smooth and creamy texture. Yummy organic fruit is at the bottom in a variety of flavors. Until July 2016 Stonyfield 100% Grassfed will be available exclusively at Whole Foods Markets across the country, after that you’ll be able to buy it at additional retail locations alongside other Stonyfield products. Excited? Well I haven’t even told you about the party yet!
